Some dust will always be inevitable following a sanding process but this is kept to a minimum by screening /masking & frequent vacuuming.
The use of edging sanders and additional tools allow us to extend the sanding right into the corners to achieve a completely even sanded floors.
Our floor sanding service is completed using a three-fold process:
We carry out an overall sanding using a coarse-grade paper. This allows us to remove the existing finishes along with dents & pits in the wood surface.
If the floor hasn’t been previously renovated, there might be a Victorian shellac (a staining seen around the floors edges).
This tends to clog sanding discs. This shellack is scrapped off by hand & then edged.
Lastly the smallest of imperfections are removed using a very fine-textured sand paper. This produces a silky smooth finish on the wooden surface.
